Frammenti.
Timeless compositions.
Interactive installation
Music is strictly related to time.
Music would not exist without time.
The installation unties the bond between time and music, by slicing a musical piece in small parts, or grains.
The movement of the body, tracked by the camera, activates and moves the grains, creating a continous de-composition and re-composition of the original piece of music.
Music is spread across the space which the spectators/performers can explore in search for new combinations of sounds, orienting themselfs by hearing, while their bodies unveil a map of the sonic territory. The sound environment mutates progressively, inviting the audience to re-define their relation with the space and explore new sounds.
Frammenti is a project that aims to search a new possibility of music creation and fruition: the body plays the space, manipulating the sonic matter that constitutes the environment.
